Quick Intro:

“A father doesn’t tell you that he loves you. He shows you.” — David Jeremiah

The Feelings, Respect and the Love that we have for our Dad is difficult to put all that in words and its just inexpressible though we have tried it to express in this poem a bit. On the special day of Father’s Day 2020, here’s a little contribution to the world of creations at Nuthana Raaga along with an simple pencil sketch check in the Art Work section.

“ಎಲ್ಲರಂತಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ,
ಅವರ ಗುಣಗಳವು ಬಲು ಅಪರೂಪ;

ಅವರು ಬಂದ ಹಾದಿ – ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸುಖವೆನಲ್ಲಾ,
ಕಷ್ಟದ ದಿನಗಳವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲಾ;

ಹಗಲಿರುಳು  ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟಿರಲು ನಮಗಾಗಿ,
ಏನನ್ನು ಬಯಸದೆ ತಾವು ತಮಗಾಗಿ;

ಅಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯದು ಸಾಗರದಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡದು,
ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಸೇವೆ ಬಲು ಚಿಕ್ಕದು,
ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಸೇವೆ ಬಲು ಚಿಕ್ಕದು;

ಸಾಲದದು ನಿಮಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಂಧುಬಾಂಧವರು,
ಇರಬೇಕು ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪನಂಥಾ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು.

ಅಪ್ಪ – ನಮ್ಮಿ ಸಂಸಾರವೆಂಬ ರಥದ ಸಾರಥಿ,
ಅವರೊಂದು ಸಹನಾ ಮೂರುತಿ.
ಅವರಿಗಿಲ್ಲ ಯಾರು ಸಾಟಿ
ಅವರಿಗಿಲ್ಲ ಯಾರು ಸಾಟಿ.

ನಾ ನಡೆವೆ ಅವರ ಆದರ್ಶದ ಹಾದಿಯಲಿ,
ಆ ಹಾದಿಯ ಸುಕಾಂತ್ಯ ಅಡಗಿಹುದು ಅವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಲಿ.
ಎಲ್ಲರಂತಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ,
ಅವರ ಗುಣಗಳವು ಬಲು ಅಪರೂಪ.
ದೇವರು ನೀಡಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಯಸ್ಸು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ,
ಅದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿನ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ,
ಅದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿನ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ..”
