Often we battle between ‘hesitation’ and ‘expectation’ when it comes to the matter of expressing the LOVE or a FEELING(s). Sometimes we end up saying less hesitatingly or expect more unknowingly.
Imagine two people endeavouring to express their feelings, have failed to say it indirectly;

“ಹೇಳದೇ ಇರುವಂತ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹಲವು,
ಹೇಳದೇ ಇರುವಂತ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹಲವು,
ಅದರರ್ಥ ನನಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದಲ್ಲಾ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ  ಒಲವು;

ಹೇಳಿಯೂ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದಿರಲು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೆಲವು,
ಹೇಳಿಯೂ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದಿರಲು – ನಿನಗೆ ಕೆಲವು,
ಹೇಗೆ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲವನು,
ನಾನೇ ಪ್ರತಿಸಲವು;

ಇರಲು ಹಲವಾರು ವಿಷಯದಲಿ,
ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರ ಸೋಲು ಗೆಲುವು; [2]
ಅದರರ್ಥ ಸೋತಿಹೆನೆಂದಲ್ಲಾ,
ನಾ ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲೂ;

ಹೇಳದೇ ಇರುವಂತ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹಲವು,
ಹೇಳದೇ ಇರುವಂತ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹಲವು,
ಹೇಳಲೇಗೆ ನಾ ಅದರಲೊಂದು –
ಈ ನನ್ನ ಒಲವು..
ಈ ನನ್ನ ಒಲವು..”
